NYCxDESIGN Festival Returns
A Week of Innovation, Creativity, and Global Design in New York City
May 14 – 20, 2026

The 2026 NYCxDESIGN Festival, New York City’s official celebration of design, returns with hundreds of events citywide. The Festival brings together global creatives, leading brands, institutions, and the public for a vibrant program of exhibitions, keynotes, installations, tours, and neighbourhood activations. Organized by NYCxDESIGN, an independent nonprofit, the Festival highlights the city’s diverse design ecosystem and features top designers, students, civic leaders, and cultural institutions. Events take place throughout all five of New York’s boroughs, and in design districts such as Atlantic Avenue, DUMBO, Flatiron / NoMad, Harlem, Hudson Yards, Madison Avenue, Meatpacking, and SoHo, among others.

Design is core to New York City’s identity and creative DNA. NYCxDESIGN was founded by the City of New York to unify and amplify the city’s vibrant design community on a global stage. The internationally renowned NYCxDESIGN Festival, New York City’s official design week, is an annual citywide celebration of design, established in 2012, that showcases the immense talent and diversity of the city’s designers, makers, and manufacturers, along with cutting-edge design businesses and districts, and academic design institutions.

The Festival attracts 163,000+ national and international visitors to the city with hundreds of events focused on design, innovation, creativity, culture, and sustainability. As an independent non-profit 501©(3) organization, NYCxDESIGN also runs an impactful year-round program that increases opportunity and inclusion within the city’s design professions, connecting them to the world.
