A portfolio is more than just an accessory, it’s our companion, discreet, who is of all travels, of all the outings. It’s the ultimate personal accessory, and often a good gift idea.

Classic portfolios are soft, the cards can break, to demagnetise (nothing is more unpleasant than a mute card to time to pay the bill). Not very practical, it’s hard to catch the cards with your fingertips, the cards are superimposed, so we do not see the one that we are looking for. They are usually too big, deform the pockets, and can even create sciatics by dint of sitting on a huge wallet. Moreover, they all look the same…

To revolutionise the market of leather goods, a new category of wallet/card holder, the smart wallet or smart case. A kind of pocket suitcase, both rigid and lightweight, to protect its cards with style. Our portfolio concept made of aluminium combines design, quality and anti-fraud security. For more than 20 years, ÖGON has been reinventing itself in leather goods.

Thomas, the founder of the brand, spent many years in Stockholm, in Sweden. It’s there that in 2002, he imagines a portfolio rigid, inspired by Scandinavian design, but also by the cigarette cases used by the dandy in the last century and the aluminium flight cases from the 1930s. The smart wallet was born. Since 2009, ÖGON Design has been based in Normandy. A team of about twenty people work on the design of the products, from the design and assembly of certain models.
