ITSLIQUID Group welcomes you to the 19th edition of CONTEMPORARY VENICE 2026! Opening on October 16 at 06:00 PM at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, the exhibition gathers more than 80 international artists from 30 countries around the world to examine the dialogue between body, identity, and modern society through diverse contemporary media. The exhibition will remain open until October 30, running alongside the Venice Biennale.

CONTEMPORARY VENICE explores the evolving relationship between the body and the spaces we inhabit, reflecting on how identities are shaped, transformed, and hybridised within today’s cultural, physical, social, and urban environments. The exhibition focuses on two curated sections: MIXING IDENTITIES and FUTURE LANDSCAPES.

MIXING IDENTITIES investigates the inner dimensions of identity through immersive artistic experiences, navigating the layered and often hidden territories of consciousness. The body emerges as a dynamic and relational system, continuously interacting with other bodies and spaces, generating meaning through movement, perception, and expression.

FUTURE LANDSCAPES opens onto mental and conceptual spaces where boundaries dissolve, and imagination expands. Here, landscapes become fluid constructions of thought, redefining limits between body, mind, soul, and environment, and transforming space into an open field of ideas and possibilities.

OUR LOCATION

Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello is one of the most well-known palaces of the Renaissance in Venice. It is a historical building dating back to the 16th century, and it has been owned by several noble Venetian families, as demonstrated by the frescoed ceilings, the artistic stuccos and the fine furniture that enriches its rooms. The Palace welcomes visitors with its beautiful private garden on the ground floor, and then it gathers the guests in its large first-floor salons, in which the past and present dialogue together. The restored Old Masters’ frescoes and the contemporary art masterpieces that are periodically shown in the exhibitions hosted here make Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello the perfect location for the balance between old and new, between ancient environment and contemporary art, architecture and design.

The venue hosts an extensive program of high-profile art exhibitions, international conferences, congresses, and concerts. Among its institutional highlights, the Palace has hosted several National Pavilions during both the Art and Architecture Venice Biennials. ITSLIQUID Group has also staged major cultural events at the venue, including multiple editions of prominent international projects such as the ANIMA MUNDI and BORDERS Festival.
