ITSLIQUID GROUP, in collaboration with Venice Events and Ca’ Zanardi, is proud to announce CONTEMPORARY VENICE 2019 – ITSLIQUID International Art Show, curated by Arch. Luca Curci (founder and director of THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space, ITSLIQUID Group and Luca Curci Architects) that will be held in Venice, at THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space, from December 05, 2019 to January 10, 2020 and at Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi, from December 06, 2019 to January 10, 2020.

CONTEMPORARY VENICE 2019 focuses on the theme of IDENTITIES and on the relationship between man, society and contemporary cities, exploring the lifestyles and the ways of being that run on a parallel level of our ordinary life.

This is the sixth edition of CONTEMPORARY VENICE; the previous ones have been organized in prestigious venues and historical buildings in Venice, like Palazzo Dolfin Bollani, Palazzo Flangini, Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi and THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space, presenting more than 600 selected artists, coming from more than 40 countries from all over the world. CONTEMPORARY VENICE focuses on the theme of IDENTITIES and on the relationship between man, society and contemporary cities. The exhibition explores the lifestyles and the ways of being that run on a parallel level of our ordinary life. Everyday behaviors are the actual reflection of cities and societies we have created and that have developed a personal identity. This new city character becomes the new order that modifies our everyday life.

ITSLIQUID GROUP includes a section dedicated to the organization of international art events, managing exhibitions of painting, photography, video art, installation and performance; it organizes solo and collective shows, art residencies and international contests. Its object is to use new technologies to globalize the language of art, to connect artists working in every part of the world.

ITSLIQUID Group manages a variety of art spaces all over the world; among them THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space in the heart of San Marco Square in Venice and different historical buildings, THE LINE Contemporary Art Space in the London city center and other different partners worldwide. Since its beginning, the group has organized more than 250 events all around the world, involving more than 5.000 artists, in more than 60 international venues in Italy, USA, Canada, UK, Spain, France, etc. Most of the last events have been realized in museums (CCCB – Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona in Spain, NCCA – National Center for Contemporary Arts in Moscow, etc.), galleries and private foundations.

Overlooking the unique San Marco square, THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space presents a rich program of exhibitions, talks, meetings, workshops and courses about art, architecture, design and fashion with architects, designers, artists, collectors, art critics, curators, dealers, and other personalities of the International art, architecture and design world. Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi (Cannaregio 4132, Venice) is a residential palace dating back to the 16th century which, over the centuries, has been added on to by various noble Venetian families and is one of the most evocative and beautiful palaces in the city of Venice. Sumptuous and possessing particular charm, Ca’ Zanardi is located in a most peaceful setting and has its own delightful private garden as well as a magnificent terrace full of sun and colours. Ca’ Zanardi is located close to the Ca’ D’Oro, the splendid 15th century gothic palace along the Grand Canal. It is easily reachable by foot, after a two minute walk from the Ca’ D’Oro water bus stop, or by boat using the palazzo’s private pier positioned along the fetching Santa Caterina canal. The refined elegance of the palazzo’s halls and common areas and the delicacy of its original 16th century furnishings create a fascinating setting.
