Following a successful Kickstarter campaign raising over US$463,000, Orbitkey’s latest product helps you be better prepared for your workday. An ID card holder may seem like an ordinary everyday accessory that’s commonly overlooked – until it breaks. It disrupts the flow of your daily routine, or worse, you lose your important cards.

The ID Card Holder does more than just give you instant access to your frequently used cards. The built-in privacy feature allows you to conceal your work ID and ensures it stays that way. The retractor has been specially designed to include this innovative feature so your personal details remain hidden after work. Orbitkey also aims to address other pain points, related to existing lanyards and retractors, that were shared during a focus group conducted by the Design team. Made from high-quality materials, the ID Card Holder System was designed to be more elegant, durable, and silent compared to standard retractors currently available.

The ID Card Holder protects your privacy, as you can safeguard your details while in public by simply pulling down and flipping the card around. The ID Card Holder Pro also comes with an RFID-protected slot for two credit cards. Moreover, the ID Card Holder holds up to two cards – an access card for work or public transport, and another frequently used card (smart card/business card/loyalty card). The Pro model has extra storage for smaller items such as keys, emergency cash, or an Orbitkey x Chipolo Tracker. The ID Card Holder or ID Card Holder Pro can be clipped onto your belt/bag/skirt. Both designs work with an optional detachable lanyard, where the retractor allows you to scan cards without having to awkwardly bend down to reach the scanner. The ID Card Holder Pro also supports cards in both portrait and landscape orientations. The form of the holder has been designed to be simple and compact so it doesn’t add unnecessary bulk to your outfit. The retractor cord is made of a durable Dyneema cord that has been tested to withstand everyday use. Our custom-made retractor is also more durable and silent compared to generic retractors – built to last for years to come. The comfortable woven lanyard also has a breakaway release for added safety and convenience. The design of the products is minimal and sleek, made using high-quality materials such as premium top grain leather.
