Peter Movrin “Lu Gedigte Perlaopis” Collection

Known for his impressive unisex pieces with exaggerated silhouettes, Peter Movrin is an award-winning and much respected fashion designer. Just consider his work has taken part in exhibitions such as at the MoBa Biennale, where his collection was displayed alongside garments by legends such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Maison Martin Margiela and Prada.

And more, Lady Gaga often wears his fabulous creations and speaks of them enthusiastically. The primary source of Movrin‘s inspiration is his childhood: the only son of a butcher, he grew up in a small Slovenian town surrounded by woods and bears. His growth – as he has often remarked – was characterized by a roughness that emerges in his designs, softened by a special kind of romanticism.

After having studied textile design, Movrin soon moves on to the role of designer, making piece after piece with meticulous attention to detail and a constant desire to innovate. His favorite materials are leather and wool, juxtaposed to other fabrics. “My ambition is not to create clothes but rather adornments for the body”. All rigorously made in his homeland, Slovenia.
