ANIMA MUNDI – Three Solo Exhibitions at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello
May 07 – May 13, 2026
Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, Venice

ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with ACIT Venice, is delighted to announce the great success of the three remarkable solo exhibitions by Anthony Emerton, Justyna Kubica, and Rosita Fernandes, curated by Luca Curci and co-curated by Amaride Ferrante, Annachiara Recchia and Giulia Tassi, that opened on May 07, 2026, at the historic Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello in Venice and running until May 13, 2026. The exhibitions take place within the vibrant cultural atmosphere of the 61st edition of the Biennale Arte di Venezia 2026, titled “In Minor Keys” and curated by Koyo Kouoh, a major international platform exploring contemporary artistic practices, cultural dialogue, and new global perspectives.

The curatorial project stems from a deliberate choice: to privilege depth over multiplicity, offering the public three complete and defined visions, thus creating a more intimate and analytical experience capable of conveying the complexity of each individual artistic journey. In a context such as Venice, often characterized by visual and conceptual overload, this approach becomes a conscious curatorial act: the creation of spaces for concentration, listening, and direct relationship between artwork, artist, and viewer.

The research of the three artists, although developed through different languages, converges into a shared reflection on the essence of form, sign, and the human dimension: througha vibrant exhibition path, visitors are guided in the search for these principles beginning with the works of Justyna Kubica, Polish artist based in Cracow who developed her multidisciplinary practice through studies in textile art, painting, drawing, and graphics. Within her works, the sign initially appears certain and defined before progressively dissolving into an increasingly abstract, emotional, and structural dimension where the viewer does not remain a mere observer, but becomes an active participant in a continuous and literal “Search of the Sign”: a perceptual investigation that moves through memory, matter, and presence.

“The Path of Love”, a project through which the Portuguese artist Rosita Fernandes conveys, with striking immediacy, the most deeply human dimension of experience, guided visitors through a universal journey developed across the seven works presented at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello. Rosita developed her multidisciplinary artistic practice through studies and experiences spanning photography, sculpture, ceramics, and interior design, strongly influenced by her travels and by the artistic atmosphere of Barcelona, where she specialized in Fashion and Advertising Photography: through her artistic research, Fernandes invites the viewer to embark on an emotional passage through fragments of identity and relationships, as well as moments of life in which everyone can recognize themselves. Her canvases thus become spaces of reflection and shared memory, capable of awakening an authentic sense of connection and belonging to what defines our human experience.

Identity, relationship, transformation, and perception lie at the core of Anthony Emerton’s “The Distance Between”, marking the artist’s presence in Venice as an immersive exploration grounded in the interplay between the visible and the hidden. Born in London, Emerton studied at St. Martin’s School of Art, Leeds Polytechnic, and the University of California Santa Barbara, where he developed a strong sculptural and conceptual approach to artistic practice, later shifted to painting, pursuing both realistic and abstract experimentation over several decades. Symbols, lines, and forms recur across the canvases, generating a layered visual environment that engages the surrounding space and subtly reshapes its perception, turning distance itself into an active component of the experience where the work is not merely observed but it establishes a continuous dialogue between the visitor’s body, the space, and the energies that traverse it, creating a constant oscillation between proximity and distance, between what overlaps and what separates.
