The word “canvas” was used for the first time in Italy in the 14th century and it has become the most common support medium for oil painting, replacing wooden panels. Over the centuries, the canvas’ meaning has changed, starting from paintings, through photographic and cinematographic film, exploring the human body, to the digital world. Canvas is the creatives’ common ground, on which they can express themselves. We invite all the artists to share their personal artistic research through any kind of media, from painting to sculptures and installation, from photography to video art and live performance.

BODYSPACES is about the perception of our body, the first step for the appropriation of our identity. The bodies are the spaces for human experimentation, for the achievement of humanity and its overtaking. The contemporary bodies are composed of corporal and virtual elements influenced by physical and psychical actions. The artistic work on the body’s hybridization will create a new concept of humanity starting any kind of possible life in a contemporary multicultural society. We invite artists to express, through their artistic research, the relationship between the body and human life, celebrating the new identities in contemporary times.

The exhibition in London showcased a diverse group of talented artists whose creations left a lasting impression on visitors. The concept of the art fair was pleasantly enhanced by the Japanese artist Seitaro Yamazaki, whose art revolves around the theme of research and highlights elements that were not chosen for one reason or another in the evolution process: Yamazaki tries to capture the ephemeral beauty that exists on the borders of the world that industrial civilization has torn apart or the beauty of things that lurk and hide on the border between the conscious and unconscious mind.

“Let’s make a visual expression of philosophy”. With these words, the Japanese artist Leon Amemiya Ph.D. wants to invite the viewers to approach philosophy, which is abstract and difficult to understand. Leon creates art with latent Japanese elements, e.g. butterflies and circles which express the intrinsic elements of the soul. Created with Blessed Energy, High Frequencies and Vibrations, Natali Deus Universe’s artworks are created for Chakra healing. The combination of colors used by the artist infuses the Chakras with energy and fills them with strength.

Growing up between Asia, Polynesia, Africa and Europe, has stimulated the London-based artist Yula Kim, ability to see the inherent aesthetics of nature, enlightened her gaze and helped her to consider the significance of nature in our lives and in society as a whole. Among the many natural objects, the artist is particularly interested in birds. This is because there are several subjects that arouse interest in studying the life of birds in depth in order to understand their relationship with humanity and reflect innate human nature.
