ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with ACIT Venice – Italian-German Cultural Association, is thrilled to celebrate the opening of CONSCIOUSNESS, which took place on June 19, 2026, at 06:00 PM. As the brilliant second chapter of the ANIMA MUNDI ART FAIR 2026, this exhibition features a selection of more than 90 artists from more than 30 countries worldwide, each bringing a unique energy and vision to the project. Hosted in the prestigious and historic heart of Venice, during the same period of 61st Venice Biennale, the opening night welcomed a vibrant international crowd, creating an unforgettable atmosphere filled with energy, inspiration, and creative dialogue.

ANIMA MUNDI is the vital energy that flows through everything, the subtle force that connects all forms of existence, from the natural to the artificial, from the visible to the invisible. It is the living pulse of the world, the rhythm that sustains transformation, coexistence, and renewal. Plato expressed his thoughts about ANIMA MUNDI in the Timaeus, describing the universe – “this world is indeed a living being endowed with a soul and intelligence… a single visible living entity containing all other living entities, which by their nature are all related”.

How does this universal energy manifest itself today? We invited artists, designers, and architects to take part in a collective exploration of ANIMA MUNDI, investigating the subtle correspondences between soul and body, humanity and nature, organic and synthetic worlds, wild landscapes, and urban architectures.

Across this extraordinary selection of visionaries, contemporary visual practice unfolds as a breathtaking, continuous negotiation between perception, memory, emotion, and transformation. The exhibition opens an inspiring window into these fluid dialogues, orchestrating a narrative where every artwork speaks to the next. This journey begins with the paintings of Ja’Ski Watkins, where gestural abstraction masterfully balances control and eruption through the recurring motif of the “Abstract Eye”. Here, expressive colour and performative mark-making brilliantly transform the canvas into an intimate space of deep introspection and renewed vision. This vibrant, intuitive energy flows naturally into Nadine Collado‘s abstract compositions, which emerge through magnificent spontaneity. By layering rich textures and exploring bold chromatic realms, Collado invites viewers to construct their own poetic meanings and emotional associations, perfectly echoing Watkins’ call for a renewed way of seeing. The profound relationship between inner experience and visual form deepens even further as we move into Elisa Koçeku‘s multidisciplinary practice. In her work, art, design, and architecture beautifully converge, translating identity, memory, and subconscious states into sensitive, immersive spatial narratives that envelop the audience.

In a similarly evocative manner, Phi-Artiste (Sophie Duhem) captures the essence of human transition by transforming the familiar setting of a car interior into a suspended, magical realm of reflection, where glowing light and color evoke universal themes of passage, intimacy, and tender remembrance. This fascination with material and emotional transformation lies at the absolute heart of Arzu Ertekin‘s sculptural work, where accumulated life experiences find their powerful expression through forms shaped by intuition, imagination, and the captivating physical resistance of metal. The dialogue between tangible form and ethereal atmosphere is then seamlessly picked up by Jérémy Senelier‘s stunning nocturnal photographs. For Senelier, light becomes both a medium and a sacred memory, recording time, collaboration, and ritual through carefully choreographed illuminations that oscillate beautifully between revelation and guardianship. A similarly lyrical, luminous engagement defines the paintings of Piotr Kulikowski, whose vibrant landscapes and still lifes move freely between figuration and abstraction, transforming familiar subjects into expressive fields of rhythm, texture, and deep feeling.

This search for psychological and formal balance is mirrored in the work of Sandra Tibaut, who investigates the relationship between form and consciousness through exquisite sculptural design. Tibaut translates strategy, intuition, and inner harmony into refined objects where impeccable craftsmanship becomes a powerful vehicle for reflection. Finally, the photographs of Charlotte Stoffels bring this magnificent dialogue to a perfect crescendo through an attentive, soulful observation of everyday life. Focusing on atmosphere, light, and fleeting moments, her images reveal a quiet, majestic beauty rooted in imperfection and presence, preserving the subtle traces of memory and human experience. Together, these exceptional practices propose art as an extraordinary space where material, image, and perception harmoniously converge, revealing the intricate, beautiful connections between our inner worlds and the vibrant realities that surround us.
