LONDON CONTEMPORARY provided artists and exhibitors with the unique opportunity to present their works to an international audience of professionals such as curators, gallerists, collectors, editors, and publishers who seek to acquire, publish and encourage the best contemporary art talents.
LONDON CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR 2024 analyzed the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban settings in contemporary times.

We invited artists, architects and designers to get inspired by the magical power of London, exploring the connection between desires, needs, and fears through rituals that bring humankind to change, transform and evolve their inner world. Their contribution, truly matching the core concept of the exhibition, left a mark on London’s contemporary art scenario. To begin with, Frederick Haddox‘s use of colors seems to take a lot from naive art but with a taste for mostly saturated colors and synthetic forms: the artist draws inspiration from exotic patterns as well as exotic animals, which are transfigured in his work employing strong exquisite contrasts.
Speaking of high contrasts, one cannot but think of the works by OpticalEmotions & G.Joia: whether it is black and white or a friction between a peaceful atmosphere versus chiaroscuro lighting, the key to the success of such an artistic duo lies in forcing completely different pieces to be together. From such a clash a perfect balance is always born and viewers are led to choose which one among several strong emotions to privilege. Cote D’Ivoire painter, Jacobleu, presents works that are all about transcending reality. The artist takes inspiration from his Dan origins, where the mask is an institution of social cohesion through initiation rites and moments of sharing energy. His works translate everything through colorful and shimmering works using mixed media (paintings, pastels, collages). This way, Jacobleu manages once again to make all visitors experience a journey into worlds that are both mystical and festive.

Immersed in the dynamic backdrop of London, sculptor Dieter Kunz’s “Hybrid” magnifically stood out thanks to his unexpected features: it is more than just a sculpture, it is a real experiment born from the putting together of lines, material, and, once again, high contrasting concepts. It owes a lot to the basic precept according to which art is what the artist deems, thus inviting all viewers to question the very definition of art and discover it truly is, and will be a never-ending quest for meaning.
