The 7th edition of LONDON CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR represented a forum for the direct exchange of ideas and contacts between collectors, artists, photographers, designers and art professionals. The art fair featured paintings, sculptures, photography art, installations, video art and live performance and focused on the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban settings in contemporary times.
Artists, architects and designers have been invited to be moved by the mystical energy of London and explore the connection between desires, needs and fears through rituals that bring people to alter, transform, and evolve their inner world.

Many artists have given a new twist to the body-space relationship through the camera lens: this is the case of the Argentine photographer Gustavo Ghianda, who in his “Horizon” shows his interest in the relationship between bodies and spaces through a black and white photo.
The “Ninfae series”, signed by Violaine Vieillefond, is another example. Violaine has always been fascinated by images and her experimentations: coloured fluids in movement, and micro and macrocosmic worlds have nourished her own universe and influenced her approach as an artist. With her art, she wants to cast an eye on pictorial and vital energies, on the relationship between man and nature, which is the inexhaustible source of beauty and inspiration.

The “Pretty Hurt” photographic series displayed by fashion designer Hanwei Su combines pleasure, pain, and suffering without providing a real resolution: pain and beauty have always seemed to be incompatible opposites that coexist, especially in fashion. Influenced by 1970s cinema and early 20th-century paintings, visual artist and photographer Abi Polinsky created a distinctive portraiture that melded surrealism and minimalism. The artist photographs people in a way that enhances and depicts their strengths with the aim of capturing the moment when someone’s strength fails.

In terms of painting, we find on the one hand Małgorzata Czerniawska, who has created a work that reflects on the transformation of space and other methods of shaping perceptual processes in painting. While on the other Chuck Jones, PhD, paints juxtapositions of acrylic colour fields, sometimes with suggestions of geometry. In the extremely colourful “Suggestion of a Field”, he created the plains of what is called the Midwest in the United States, where he grew up: a flat terrain with wheat and other grains swaying over it, many plants with slender stems.
In the creation of her art, artist Alida Velea is inspired by the desire to explore geometry through still life, breaking down each element of the composition into the same geometric shape. The artist gave viewers a colourful image of the geometry that surrounds us, rendering light and shadow in different shades of the same colour and conveying the feeling that beyond monotony and banality, there is colour.
