The solo exhibition unfolds as a profound exploration of transformation, memory, and renewal. At the heart of the project lies RESETIVISM, the unique artistic and philosophical language developed by Irena Vujanović: a dialogue between painting and digital art, between the material and the virtual. Through this approach, Vujanović proposes the act of “reset” not as destruction, but as regeneration: each work becomes a new beginning, a layered journey through color, pixel, emotion, and time.

Rome once again proves to be the perfect setting to welcome contemporary art, as the exhibition opened on October 31, 2025, filling the city with an atmosphere of creativity and reflection. From the very first moments, the space came alive with vivid energy and deep resonance, gathering an enthusiastic audience eager to discover the Italian debut of RESETIVISM. The presence of Irena Vujanović added a distinguished note to the opening, as the artist personally introduced the philosophy of RESETIVISM, guiding the audience through her vision of renewal and transformation at the heart of her artistic practice.
“Novi krug u spirali uma” (A New Circle in the Spiral of the Mind) – a poem written by the artist herself – gave birth to the concept of RESETIVISM, a reflection on renewal and transformation, where words and images intertwine to explore the continuous evolution of identity and perception. Through a poetic fusion of painting and digital art, Irena Vujanović captures the cyclical nature of experience: each work becomes a new beginning, a layered dialogue between memory, emotion, and imagination. Her compositions unfold as visual poems, revealing what words cannot: the quiet movement of thought and the subtle transitions of consciousness. In this meditative journey through the spirals of the mind, every “new circle” marks both a return and a rebirth.

RESETIVISM / Irena Vujanovic – About
Irena Vujanović is a Serbian-born artist based in the United States, whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, digital art, performance, and poetry. With over three decades of artistic activity across Europe and North America, her work reflects a unique fusion of traditional techniques and contemporary digital expression. She is the founder of RESETIVISM, a new visual and philosophical language that redefines artistic identity in the digital age. Vujanović studied art and music in Belgrade and Russia before completing her Master’s and Ph.D. in the United States. She was a student of renowned Serbian-American painter Sava Rakočević, and her early artistic universe included oil painting, web-based projects, and experimental performances combining voice, movement, and visual media.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in major art centers including Paris, Venice, Tokyo, London, Milan, Los Angeles, New York, and Dubai. She has participated in prestigious salons such as the Salon d’Automne in Paris and the Venice Biennale – Anima Mundi and has also received numerous international awards. In recent years, Vujanović has focused on digital painting and hybrid forms of expression, promoting RESETIVISM as both an artistic movement and a cultural statement. Through RESETIVISM, she revisits and transforms her previous works, layering new meaning over past experiences, and exploring the intersections between memory, technology, and identity. She currently lives and works in Evanston, Illinois, where she continues to create, exhibit, and host cultural events in her studio, fostering dialogue between tradition and innovation.

Spirals of Thought: Vujanović’s RESETIVISM
“In A New Circle in the Spiral of the Mind, Irena Vujanović leads us into the very architecture of thought, where memory and imagination intertwine in ever-renewing cycles. Her RESETIVISM unfolds as a radical act of re-creation: a language that dismantles the past only to weave it again into the fabric of the present. Each canvas becomes a living palimpsest in which color and pixels, silence and vibration, converge to form a visual poetry that speaks beyond words. These works reveal that human experience does not follow a straight line, but moves in spirals – returning, reframing, awakening. The layering of painterly and digital elements mirrors the strata of consciousness we inhabit, suggesting that every image is at once a recollection and a prophecy. Vujanović transforms technology into intimacy, turning pixels into flesh, algorithms into emotion. In this exhibition, the viewer is invited into a contemplative space where time bends and perception flows freely. Each “new circle” is both a departure and a return, an embrace of transformation as the essence of life. With RESETIVISM, Vujanović does not merely create images – she reshapes the very conditions of seeing, reminding us that identity, like art, is never fixed but always becoming”.

RESETIVISM. A New Visual Language Between Memory and Technology
“The artistic project of Irena Vujanović, gathered under the name RESETIVISM, was born as a response to the present time: an era in which images circulate rapidly and superficially, and perception risks being flattened by an excess of visual stimuli. RESETIVISM is not merely a technique, but an aesthetic philosophy that invites us to rethink the relationship between past and present, memory and identity, tradition and technology. At the core of this language lies the gesture of the reset: not an erasure, but an act of regeneration. Vujanović’s works are not limited to being new creations; they often emerge from the reinvention of pre-existing materials – images, paintings, traces of color and pixels – transformed through digital tools. This layering thus becomes a metaphor for both collective and individual memory, which does not disappear but is constantly renewed. In a world dominated by the speed of social media and the incessant production of images, Vujanović’s work proposes a different sense of time: contemplative, layered, meditative. The viewer is invited to lose and rediscover themselves, to reflect on their own identity and the transformations that shape it. RESETIVISM is therefore both an act of resistance and of openness: resistance against forgetfulness and simplification, openness towards new possibilities of perception and expression. It is a language that looks to the future without severing ties with the past, but instead transforming it into an inexhaustible source of new visions“.
