ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with ACIT Venice – Italian-German Cultural Association, is pleased to announce the great success of RITUALS, the first appointment of ANIMA MUNDI ART FAIR 2026. This international event presented a curated selection of contemporary artists, promoting a profound dialogue between photography, painting, sculpture, and performance art. Held during the 61st Venice Biennale, the show offered a unique platform for worldwide talents to engage with a global audience in one of the city’s most historic venues.

ANIMA MUNDI is the vital energy that flows through everything, the subtle force that connects all forms of existence, from the natural to the artificial, from the visible to the invisible. It is the living pulse of the world, the rhythm that sustains transformation, coexistence, and renewal. Plato expressed his thoughts about ANIMA MUNDI in the Timaeus, describing the universe – “this world is indeed a living being endowed with a soul and intelligence… a single visible living entity containing all other living entities, which by their nature are all related”.

How does this universal energy manifest itself today? We invited artists, designers, and architects to take part in a collective exploration of ANIMA MUNDI, investigating the subtle correspondences between soul and body, humanity and nature, organic and synthetic worlds, wild landscapes, and urban architectures.

The first room of RITUALS unfolds through an intense photographic section, drawing viewers into a profound dialogue between the sinuous and fragmented bodies portrayed by Anna Bondavalli, suspended between light and shadow, and the visual research behind Rafael Montalvo’s sculptural corporeality. Sharing the same space, Marcus Koeser’s drawing on canvas introduces a different visual language, in which an angelic figure incorporates the architecture and urban imagery of New York City.
At the center of the room, the highly theatrical sculptures of Sam Lyung Wachter evoke marine forms and the gradual disappearance of coral life. Through vibrant colors and reclaimed materials, the works transform the fragility of the ocean into a symbol of hope and sustainability.

Within these works, time emerges as a central presence, particularly in the photographic series by Christa Grenawalt, who moves beyond the contemplation of water to investigate its force and dominance. The photographed icebergs reveal ancient surfaces concealed for centuries within the depths of glaciers, where light, matter, and color convey the silent power of natural time. Expanding this investigation of materiality are the photographs of Laurry Ramirez Gallardo, Clayton Talmon de l’Armée, and Christopher B. Fowler, where desert, sea, and natural landscapes become suspended spaces between perception and memory: the silence of the inner landscape enters into dialogue with fluid and unstable marine surfaces, while Fowler’s images of rocks, trees, and organic lines are rendered through an essential and unmanipulated gaze, capable of transforming visible reality into an intense and deeply tactile presence.

Moving into the exhibition space, matter abandons its purely natural dimension to become a spiritual and symbolic threshold. In Malina Wieczorek’s works, the female body loses its physical consistency and becomes a membrane crossed by ancestral geometries; this tension toward the invisible continues through the material exploration found in Blanca Martí’s canvases, expanding through space like fragments of a primordial and emotional universe. More instinctive and grounded is the research of Alain Churlaud, who through pure pigments and layered surfaces constructs landscapes capable of narrating an inner journey filtered through personal perception.

Interrupting this material immersion are the monumental faces portrayed by Izabela Wozna: silent, almost hieratic figures protected by symbolic structures that evoke balance and emotional resilience – the same sense of resilience that continues within the vibrant canvases of Nada Alowiad, where color transforms into an immersive visual language. The exhibition path culminates with “Beyond the Frame” by Mary Carothers, a reflection on landscape and contemporary perception through the use of Claude glass, digital filters, and AI-generated imagery, the artist questions the boundary between reality and visual construction, inviting visitors to move through the exhibition space as if navigating a suspended memory between artifice and contemplation.
