ITSLIQUID Group is pleased to announce the great success of the 3rd edition of SENSES INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2025, an international exhibition of photography, painting, video art, installation, sculpture, and performance art, hosted at MUST Museum, Lecce. The Art Fair opened its doors on December 19 and will run until January 04, 2026.

From painting and photography to video and performance, the intimate space of MUST Museum, defined by arched ceilings and alcoves, hosted over 30 artists from 22 countries across the globe. The exhibition offers a platform for dialogue and exchange, where practices oscillate between abstraction and figuration, intuition and structure. Positioned at the core, senses become the lense through which artists explore both the human body and the digital condition. Art emerges as a multisensory space in which consciousness, memory, and sensation are intertwined, inviting viewers to engage with the works not only visually, but through emotional and physical resonance.

This dynamic tension between control and instinct is powerfully expressed in the works of JáSki Watkins and Christopher Fowler, whose practices approach perception from radically different yet complementary perspectives. Watkins’ ultra-contemporary abstract paintings transform the canvas into a pulsating field of energy: her technique of using spirals, splatters, and strong colours creates radial eruptions evoking neural networks, cosmic emergence, and raw emotional intensity. In contrast, Fowler’s rigorously unmanipulated photography adopts a quieter, observational stance, focusing on structure, surface, and the overlooked poetry of everyday life. Through domestic interiors and subtle landscapes, he captures moments of permanence and evanescence, grounding perception in tactility, restraint, and truth.

An introspective and contemplative dimension emerges in the practice of Laurry Ramirez Gallardo, where internal perception forms the base of her visual research. Through her works, Ramirez transforms vast, open landscapes into mirrors of the inner self in which thought, memory, and feeling unfold in silence – a state of stillness, solitude, and quietness that becomes fondumental to personal reflection and transformation. This inward gaze expands into a shared field of contemplation across the works of Nada Alowaid, where her layered and textured brushwork translates recollection into a material experience, investigating what is hidden or concealed. Shifting the viewer’s attention away from individual identity toward collective states of presence and understanding, Alowaid amplifies introspection into a relational and communal exploration.

The opening night at MUST Museum also unfolded as an intercultural journey through Mashiro Nakamura’s live performance. Drawing from Japanese coming-of-age traditions and the universal experience of parental separation, the artist transforms the gestures of traditional dance into vessels of cultural memory and personal metamorphosis. Performed with remarkable intensity alongside her own son, the act of separation between mother and child is no longer framed as loss, but as a necessary passage toward becoming: Nakamura positions the body as a living site where ritual, emotion, and transcultural experience converge.

In dialogue with Nakamura – though through a radically different medium – the photographer Michele D’Alessandro explores transformation through movement and corporeal form. In his practice, change does not unfold linearly but multiplies and dissolves through layered photographic exposures, generating a field of flux, rhythm, and chromatic intensity. Anatomy is translated into gesture, evoking processes of organic growth that blur the boundaries between figure and motion, where the human body emerges as a perceptual abstraction: a living interface, continuously reshaped by movement and time.

All together, the artistic dialogues form a constellation of sensory experiences in which vision expands into touch, movement, memory, and inner awareness. SENSES INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2025 unfolds as a space of exchange and transformation – inviting viewers to traverse shifting perceptual landscapes, where identity remains porous, emotion becomes material, and consciousness is continually reimagined through the act of seeing, sensing, and being.
