ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with ACIT Venice – Italian-German Cultural Association, is pleased to announce the great success of the 23rd edition of VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2025, an international exhibition of photography, painting, video art, installation/sculpture and performance art, held in Venice at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello. The Art Fair opened its doors on December 12 and will run until December 22, 2025.

VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2025 analyzes the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban contexts in contemporary times, through two main sections: LIQUID ROOMS and FUTURE LANDSCAPES.

With contributions from more than 80 artists from all over the world, this edition stages a living conversation between memory and measure, instinct and geometry. Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, with its stratified history, houses the exhibition in two distinct spaces: the contemporary white wall space and the noble floor, whose 18th-century frescoes frame the works with echoes of the past. This duality of spaces enhances the dialogue between present and history, between modern artistic languages and classical memory.

With contributions from international artists representing more than 30 countries, this edition offered a unique opportunity to engage with the unseen dimensions of life, body, and identity: across the diverse range of practices, artists invited viewers to blend personal experience, technical experimentation, and conceptual inquiry into a cohesive exploration of the human condition. The fair also featured the solo exhibition “Sculpting My Universe” by Spanish artist Blanca Martí, curated by Luca Curci, an intimate journey into her distinctive artistic language that merges color, texture, and sculptural techniques, transforming her personal exploration and memories into evocative visual forms.

Across the exhibition, a shared sensitivity toward material and expression became evident: Lady Carbonell’s vibrant canvases employed color as a vehicle for inner processes and subtle emotional states, affirming its transformative and expressive power, while Gaby Roter worked with ink, acrylic, and precious metal leaf on linen and wood to construct natural forms whose surfaces conveyed resilience and vulnerability, translating decay and transience into tactile experiences.

Time based practices further expanded these dialogues – Geneviève Vacca Giachero and Bianca Pirlog extended their narratives through motion and layering, using time based elements to merge chromatic sensitivity with dynamic rhythm and to immerse viewers in fluid inner and outer worlds.

Video and digital presentation thus added a further dimension to the exhibition, emphasizing perception and duration. In this context, Klaus Haas’s dedicated screening stood out for their technical rigor and narrative depth: with “Quanten Rausch Projekt” the artist employed cinematic editing and projection to investigate perception and spatial experience.

Set within the historic architecture of Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, the 23rd edition of VENICE NTERNATIONAL ART FAIR confirmed its role as a platform for meaningful contemporary dialogue, where diverse artistic languages converged around shared questions of identity, perception, and transformation. Through a diverse arrow of medium, the exhibition articulated a profound reflection on the body as both a physical presence and a conceptual space, constantly shaped by memory, environment, and inner experienc, inviting visitors to navigate a space where artistic research becomes an act of awareness, connection, and renewed sensitivity to the complexities of contemporary life.

OUR LOCATION

Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello is one of the most well-known palaces of the Renaissance in Venice. It is a historical building dating back to the 16th century, and it has been owned by several noble Venetian families, as demonstrated by the frescoed ceilings, the artistic stuccos and the fine furniture that enriches its rooms. The Palace welcomes visitors with its beautiful private garden on the ground floor, and then it gathers the guests in its large first-floor salons, in which past and present dialogue together. The restored Old Masters’ frescoes and the contemporary art masterpieces that are periodically shown in the exhibitions hosted here make Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello the perfect location for the balance between old and new, between ancient environment and contemporary art, architecture and design.

Today, the building is managed by ACIT Venice – the Italian-German Cultural Association – which is considered one of the most important intercultural associations in Europe. Thanks to the ACIT’s unceasing cultural activity, Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello nowadays has frequent collaborations with the Goethe Institute and with other local and international institutions, maintaining its ancient reputation. Because of these relations, it presents a huge program of memorable art exhibitions, conferences, congresses and concerts. Among the last institutional exhibitions, is its participation in the 58th Venice Biennale with the Guatemala pavilion, the Dominican Republic pavilion and the Grenada pavilion. ITSLIQUID Group already had the pleasure to hold some festivals and exhibitions in Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, such as MORPHOS Festival and FUTURE IDENTITIES Festival, both in 2014.
