VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2026 invites artists to explore the dialogue between body, identity, and space in today’s society. Through the two main sections, LIQUID ROOMS and FUTURE LANDSCAPES, the exhibition offers a unique chance to present works that challenge perception and open new perspectives.

LIQUID ROOMS analyzes the hidden parts of our identities through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness. The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality: a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression.

FUTURE LANDSCAPES presents abstract, conceptual, and boundless dimensions, where spaces are redefined by the mind in an endless flow of ideas. This section reflects on borders and structures between body, mind, soul, and the environments we inhabit.

The enchanting backdrop of Venice continues to serve as the ideal stage for a profound dialogue between the city’s historic grandeur and the contemporary perspectives exhibited at Palazzo Albrizzi. Within this setting, a diverse group of international artists redefines the boundaries between the intangible and the visible, transforming the viewer’s perception into an immersive and introspective journey. Enriching the exploration of the inner consciousness is Janiqueart (Janique Grenier). Describing herself as a “DJ of visual art,” the Canadian mixed-media artist samples and remixes fragments of reality to disrupt fixed meanings. Through her layered collages, she creates portals into spiritual dimensions where identities are reassembled into evolving narratives of the self.

Shifting toward a reflection on structure and rhythm, Dutch artist Madelon de Keizer challenges perception through a dynamic tension between order and instability. Her figurative works, grounded in classical training, use recurring elements like blocks, stairs, and circles to guide the viewer’s eye before subtly fragmenting them, inviting a quiet, introspective dialogue between beauty and unease. The atmosphere becomes vibrant with the work of Carine Hayoz. The Swiss painter translates the complexity of the metropolis into “urban spatial symphonies.” Her cities are not recognizable geographic locations but condensed emotional memories transparent architectures where human figures emerge as vital counterforces to modern coldness, illustrating the complex web of relationships that define the “theater of life.”

The opening night was truly unforgettable, enriched by two powerful and contrasting performances. Nancy Trueman offered a serene, meditative escape with her sound healing and crystal bowls, bringing ancient wisdom into our contemporary space. In deep dialogue with this inner peace, Maristella Tesio’s installation “Fast Food Emotion” captivated the audience with a breathing sea of plastic, reflecting on the beauty and toxicity of our modern consumption. Together, these artists transformed the venue into a vibrant stage for reflection, touching the hearts of every visitor and exploring the delicate balance of our identity today.

Belgian photographer Costina Stan explores the body as an intimate landscape of emotion. In her practice, the physical form becomes a vessel for subconscious experience. Through minimal yet evocative compositions, she employs light and texture to capture moments of vulnerability, inviting viewers to project their own lived experiences onto her resonant, quiet frames. The dialogue with physical space continues with John Ishmael, an American artist and designer who blends four decades of expertise in interior design with a deep painterly sensitivity. His compositions are a tribute to material richness and atmospheric light, transforming spatial awareness into emotional resonance and creating environments that celebrate both individuality and shared human connection.

From Germany, Claudia Dr. Kühn investigates the transformative energy of materials. By integrating unconventional substances such as wax, bitumen, and natural elements into her acrylic paintings, she creates tactile surfaces that engage both the physical and the spiritual. Her abstract landscapes balance strength with vulnerability, fostering a meditative stillness that encourages a reconsideration of perspective. Finally, the journey concludes with the suspended poetics of Silvia Mariani. Through evocative works like L’equilibrio degli assenti (The Balance of the Absent) and Portami a casa (Take Me Home), the Italian artist explores the profound need to find a sanctuary within oneself. Her art functions as a silent whisper, navigating nostalgia and the fragility of memories, reminding us that when the heart is open, the connection between the human and the eternal remains ever-present.
