Simple, effective, and environmentally friendly skincare that places Clean Beauty at the heart of it all, Skean: the Italian brand inspired by the power of nature, which becomes functional thanks to scientific research. Skean bases its philosophy on the principles of Clean Beauty choosing quality instead of quantity of the products and using raw materials that are not harmful to the skin and the environment.

SKIN + CLEAN. Our brand philosophy is in two words. The two terms are the cornerstones of the brand philosophy: the passion for skincare combined with the real commitment to transparency and sustainability. All Skean products are Made in Italy and specially formulated from a meticulous selection and combination of natural and innovative, hi-tech active ingredients. All products are rigorously free of any potentially harmful chemicals that serve as irritants or are superfluous to conscientious skincare. Active ingredients are used in purely functional quantities, i.e. in the percentages suitable to be truly effective.

From these assumptions comes the first line of Skean “Essential“: a daily routine that aims at the well-being of one’s skin and is capable of giving the complexion a healthy and radiant appearance. “Essential” for a beauty routine that consists of small daily gestures that guarantee high performance, the line consists of the following products.

ESSENTIAL CREAM. Pro-age and moisturizing face cream with hyaluronic acid and peptides. It slows down and improves the skin aging process. Its active ingredients stimulate the synthesis of collagen. They give elasticity and firmness to the skin and they have been included in the formula in functional quantities to be truly effective. The velvety texture of Essential Cream absorbs quickly and makes it also an excellent base for make-up.

ESSENTIAL SERUM. Pro-age and moisturizing Serum with Hyaluronic Acid & Peptides is ideal for moisturizing your face correctly every day. Thanks to its active ingredients, it stimulates the synthesis of collagen, improves the firmness of the tissues, and gives elasticity. Its formulation was designed to be absorbed in seconds, leaving the skin light and dry.

ESSENTIAL CLEANSER. Cleansing gel and make-up remover, face, and eyes, with Aloe Vera and Sodium PCA. It creates a soft foam, which cleanses the face and eyes, removing even the most resistant makeup, to leave the skin clean and velvety. Its special formula is a perfect mix of delicate surfactants and moisturizing agents.

Conscious that our outward beauty is a reflection of our inner well-being, Skean has designed and created a dermatologically tested line of products able to prevent, control, and improve the aging process of all skin types, even the most sensitive. Skean has decided to dedicate particular attention to the scrupulous choice of ingredients and production processes that respect the skin and the environment. In none of the INCI products of the Essential line will you ever find PEG, Petrolati and paraffin, silicones, SEL / SLES, parabens, and dyes.

With Skean, the same “routine” of simple daily gestures that allow us to take care of ourselves, can help preserve the Earth. The great commitment to eco-sustainability also translates into support for the 1% For The Planet organization and the choice of raw material suppliers who work sustainably. “The drive to improve our planet has prompted us to form a partnership with 1% For the Planet, a global network of companies that contribute at least 1% of their sales to environmental causes,” says Anna Confalonieri, co-founder of the brand.

“The mission is to build, support and activate an alliance of companies financially committed to creating a healthier and cleaner planet.” Even the choice of materials for the packaging of our lines is scrupulous and always oriented towards recycled, recyclable, or reusable compounds. The primary packaging is made up of glass and recyclable plastic, while the second one is produced in ecological paper certified by FSC® (forest stewardship council®), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting responsible forest management around the world.

Massimo Cesana, co-founder of Skean added “to contain the excessive waste of water, in our products, there is no added drinking water. We use Cytofruit® Waters (Cytofruit® is a registered trademark of ROELMI HPC): bioactive water that naturally derives from the processing of bergamot and contains all the plant nutrients”.

Skean is a Design4Beauty project. Founded in Seregno, Italy, in 2021 by the Cesana family of designers; Design4Beauty brings the aesthetics of design to high-end skincare products creating the brand Skean. Skean combines the words Skin + Clean: skincare products inspired by the philosophy of Clean Beauty.
