The collection of product design Cerchi-Amo is born from the most beautiful Italian marbles. Each piece is unique and comes from the recovery of residual material. Slow Design 44 enhances artisan knowhow and the idea of sustainability by merging everything into a precious, refined and artistic concept.

“Cerchi-Amo”, the name of this collection, the stone meets with poetry. The expertise handed down from father to son teaches how to choose stones. Only through an enduring passion over the years eyes are trained to grasp the secrets of the marble veins. Our “Cerchi-Amo” are borne from this ability of equilibrium, harmony and a sense of perfection. Each piece is a unique numbered masterpiece.

The marble tray Cerchi-Amo is the perfect set for a vase or any other object that you have at home or in the office; we have combined it with “Easy” a transparent glass vase that enhances it without stealing the show. A constant dialogue of contraposition between the heaviness and the lightness of the materials. Easy is a silent and ideal companion for our Cerchi-Amo with its balance of shapes and transparency that unveil everything, even the poetry of flowers picked up during a walk in the county side. The Cerchi-amo is composed of two pieces that can be modular or decomposable in a constant game of solid and empty, a play of shadows. Shadows are not part of a real world: they cannot be touched or grabbed although they project something real as our Cerchi-amo are.

The masterpiece of our set is the “Cerchi” made of either of white marble of Calcatta Carrara or that of marble Lasa Vena Oro (Lasa Golden Vein). The smallest piece called “Amo” can be made of the same white marbles or colored marbles. Colors that can range from the Siena Yellow, which comes from is Montagnola Senese, to black marble “Nero Portoro” from La Spezia, a town of Liguria region. Another marble from Liguria is the Levanto Red. The green marble is called Verde alpi (green alps) and comes from Aosta, a town in Noth-West near France.

Each piece of the Cerchi-Amo is made with patience, care and skills of our artisans with whom we have selected the best of Italian marbles which are the most beautiful and richest in history, sometimes even rare because they are extracted in limited quantities. These marbles are authentic nature masterpieces, each one with its own “personality” that we have decided to emphasize at its best – in line with our idea of sustainable design -, using the leftovers of some interior works or of broken slabs not usable for other works.

The stone, marble in particular, is a rich material that has many stories to tell us. The artisan is the listener of these stories and the one that is able to bring to life these stories to give them to all of us through an apparent easy harmony, but that is actually born from a deep knowledge of the material. The artisans author of this “Cerchi-Amo” collection are three brothers that each day work with marble slabs, with weights in the order of tons, able to still feel great emotions. The packaging is also made taking in consideration the sustainability: it is made of a paper-leather that contains the 25% of fiber of recycled leather.

The unique pieces of the Cerchi-Amo collection are perfect in a living room as well as in an office. These pieces can play a role in any space or be the stage for precious family objects. They can become object holders on a desk, a tray, a centerpiece or a jewelry box.

Cerchi-Amo design pieces are how you want them to be…
