SORBAS was founded in 2015 in Berlin-Neukölln, with the idea of crafting high-quality shoes that have a positive social and environmental impact. We produce exclusively in Europe under ethical working conditions and use innovative materials that are sustainable and natural. SORBAS stands for joie de vivre, a penchant for minimalism and production in small businesses. The original design, as well as the traditional production, ensures a high level of comfort and excellent quality.

Founded with the intention of redefining everyday footwear, SORBAS is focused on timeless design, comfort, and responsible production. Each pair is crafted in small, family-run factories in Europe, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern, minimalist aesthetics.

SORBAS works exclusively with natural, recycled, and certified materials, including vegetable-tanned leather, recycled rubber soles, and breathable linings, ensuring durability while reducing environmental impact. The brand believes that sustainability should not be an added feature, but an integral part of the design process – from material sourcing to production and longevity.
