Steve’s
The future of sustainable made in Italy fashion

In today’s fashion landscape, Steve’s stands out as an innovative brand that merges Italian craftsmanship, sophisticated design, and sustainability. Founded in 2022 by siblings Filippo and Giulia Gandini, Steve’s was created with the aim of producing high-quality footwear entirely Made in Italy, eliminating the need to compromise between aesthetics and environmental responsibility.

For years, the footwear market has forced consumers to choose between refined design and eco-sustainability. Steve’s disrupts this dichotomy by integrating both elements into a single model, responding to an increasingly evident consumer demand. Steve’s sneakers combine innovative and certified materials, such as Uppeal™, a vegan alternative to leather obtained from apple waste in Trentino Alto Adige in Italy. A distinctive feature is the use of upcycled velvet, sourced directly from surplus stock in the high-end fashion industry. This not only prevents waste but also ensures that each sneaker is a unique limited edition: every batch of velvet has slight variations in shade and texture, making each pair of Steve’s a one-of-a-kind product.

Each component is carefully selected to minimize environmental impact without sacrificing quality and style. Organic bio cotton, essential to the production of these sneakers, is used not only for the laces but also for all seams and embroidery, which are handcrafted by expert artisans. The sneaker is almost entirely assembled while minimizing the use of chemical adhesives: the little glue required is water-based, eliminating any harmful substances for the environment. The sole is made of recycled and recyclable TR, with a blend specially developed for Steve’s and molded on a proprietary design. All mounting materials used in the sneaker are 100% biodegradable, ensuring an eco-conscious production process and a shoe designed to last over time without compromising sustainability.

Steve’s not only revolutionizes sneaker design but also extends its vision to packaging. Each pair of shoes is delivered in a 100% recycled and recyclable steel box, a sustainable alternative to traditional cardboard packaging that reduces waste and encourages reuse. Inside the box, customers will find a brochure made from plantable paper, designed to give the packaging a second life: simply plant it directly in the box to transform it into a pot, creating a true cycle of reuse. This small but significant gesture allows customers to actively participate in Steve’s sustainability process, making them part of a movement that goes beyond fashion.

The brand commissioned a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to measure the impact of its sneakers, achieving an outstanding result: only 4.83 kg of CO2 equivalent per pair, significantly lower than the industry average. Additionally, for every sneaker sold, Steve’s supports reforestation and environmental conservation projects, allowing customers to monitor their positive impact through a dedicated digital platform. Steve’s sneakers are not just a symbol of sustainability and transparency; they embody sophisticated design and impeccable fit.

Thanks to meticulous design and Italian craftsmanship, they provide a comfortable and versatile wear, perfect for both casual looks and more refined outfits. Every detail is carefully studied to ensure a balance between aesthetics and functionality, making these sneakers an essential accessory for those who seek elegance without compromise. The New Origin collection fully embraces this philosophy, featuring clean lines and refined details. The white Uppeal™ upper offers a soft yet durable texture, while the cycled rubber sole ensures lightweight flexibility. The velvet details define the collection’s four distinct shades: Tannin Red, Snow White, Avocado Yellow, and Storm Blue.

Steve’s is more than just a brand; it is a movement redefining the concept of luxury. The uniqueness of its products lies in their origin: a short, entirely Italian supply chain that supports local artisans and ensures meticulous quality control at every stage of production. Transforming the traditional model means taking something that has always been considered exclusive and inaccessible and turning it into an authentic and shared experience. For Steve’s, luxury is not about ostentation or status but about attention to detail, artisanal quality, and the use of innovative and sustainable materials.

The goal is not to create distance but to bring customers closer to this new concept of luxury through transparent and engaging communication, where each product tells a story of values, research, and passion. Buying a pair of Steve’s sneakers means becoming part of a community that values uncompromising sustainability, craftsmanship, and the beauty of a unique product. Not just customers, but people who identify with this modern vision of fashion and luxury, actively participating in spreading its message and amplifying its impact.
