Type and Space

Introducing Type and Space, a lifestyle brand focusing on designer apparel and home accessories. The initial product launch includes casual wardrobe staples and select home decor pieces. Type and Space was founded by Creative Director Dan Cordoni, following 15 years of designing brands, products and experiences for some of the world’s most renowned organisations. It was born out of a desire to bring art and good design to more people.

The brand’s focus is on creating functional, long-lasting, beautiful pieces. This means careful consideration is given to materials, fit and proportions in every design. It partners with specialist businesses, artists and talented craftspeople across Europe and the United Kingdom to produce high quality on a small scale.

The brand’s design ethos is an extension of this mission, seeking to inspire, provoke thought and incite emotion. In short, makes us feel more human. Type and Space’s typographic prints, illustrations and artworks are informed by contemporary culture, and directly manifest this principle.

At its core, Type and Space is a celebration of design in many forms. Each release follows a rigorous process, from the choice of products to the manufacturing processes and the graphical executions, to ensure they are bringing something into the world which needs to exist. The brand goes across product categories to create designs that can help people live a better lifestyle.

The opening collection marries a clean aesthetic and neutral colour palette with a graphical use of type and patterns, in a design-led approach to contemporary luxury. The style is rooted in simplicity. Elevating the ordinary through the judicious use of space, turning commonplace objects into design pieces. Prints dance between the minimal and playful, light and dark, celebrating self-expression while maintaining a core of sophistication.
