CALL FOR ARTISTS: CONTEMPORARY VENICE 2022 – 11th Edition

ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with EGO’ Boutique Hotel, is pleased to announce the open call for the 11th Edition of CONTEMPORARY VENICE 2022, international exhibition of photography, painting, video art, installation/sculpture and performance art, that will be held in Venice, at Palazzo Bembo (click here to learn more on this venue) from October 21 to November 10, 2022, and in other prestigious venues and historical buildings.

This is the eleventh edition of  CONTEMPORARY VENICE 2022 – ITSLIQUID International Art Fair, the previous ones have been organized in prestigious venues and historical buildings in Venice, like Palazzo Dolfin Bollani, Palazzo Flangini, Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi, Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello and at THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space, presenting more than 600 selected artists, coming from more than 40 countries from all over the world.

The participation includes the following services
– exhibition space dedicated to the artist’s works
– assisting with customs formalities, international shipping and local transport
– assisting in finding accommodation
– the design and printing of invitation cards, posters
– the global and local press office, publicity, press, banners, totem, etc.
– the realization of the exhibition website and dedicated press releases
– mounting and dismounting of the exhibition
– exhibitions opening event with drinks and food
– a dedicated interview published on ITSLIQUID website and spread on our social networks
– providing services and drinks for small meetings at the exhibition places for invited guests

The eleventh edition of CONTEMPORARY VENICE analyzes the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban settings in contemporary time, through two main sections: MIXING IDENTITIES and FUTURE LANDSCAPES.

MIXING IDENTITIES analyzes the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness. The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality; a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression.

FUTURE LANDSCAPES are abstract, infinite and conceptual, associated with a sense of freedom and infinite extension. Primarily experienced with the mind, spaces redefine their limits and borders, transforming surfaces into an open flow of pure ideas. This section focuses on the concept of the borders and the structures between body, mind and soul, the human identity and the city, the space and the ground.

Ever since 2001, ITSLIQUID Group has presented a high-quality selection of collective and solo shows in our locations, creating a unique opportunity to exchange new ideas, increase and develop the art market and the dialogue between collectors, and art critics, journalists and art lovers. Making contemporary art accessible to all.

We work in collaboration with a talented network of publishers, dealers, curators and arts professionals, providing artists with customized services and opportunities to have their works exhibited, published and represented through various platforms.

We invite artists, architects, and designers to be inspired by the magical power of Venice, exploring the connection between desires, needs, and fears through rituals that bring humankind to change, transform, and evolve their inner world.

The number of works you can submit is unlimited. Participation in the art show requires an entry fee only for selected artworks. Participation is open to: artists, architects and designers, associate groups and studios.

Artists interested in taking part in our shows are free to be sponsored and supported by institutions, organizations, governments and their representatives; the logos of their sponsors will be included in all the communication (digital and print) of the events.

OUR LOCATION

Palazzo Bembo, located in the historic district of San Marco, the heart of Venice, is available to host solo shows and group exhibitions of the most talented emerging and established artists, designers, and architects selected by our professional team among the numerous show participation requests.

Palazzo Bembo is one of the late Gothic Venetian buildings built in the right middle of the famous Canal Grande, a few meters from the renowned Rialto Bridge. Its name comes from the humanist and literary cardinal Pietro Bembo, known for the so-called “linguistic question” during the Italian XV century. 

The facade of the building, with all its gothic pentafore, is as fascinating as the interior which is divided into three floors and characterized by large salons. The seventeenth-century staircase overlooks the internal courtyard that leads to the noble floor, where decorations are dating back to the same century, in Baroque style. The exhibition space, on the first floor, overlooks the Canal Grande and the Rialto Bridge, giving a suggestive view both day and night.
